OK wow... creeping back toward heaviest weight EVER, which I achieved 8 years ago while working at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Today I "slipped" on my new, and quite snug, size 14 pants that Patsy got me yesterday. I blew out ALL of the jeans that I could get on! Luckily there are 2 much smaller pairs that I will not be able to destroy because I can't squeeze into them. SO they are in my closet waiting patiently.
I know I had that "big is beautiful" feeling at my wedding, but NOW.. BIGGER!! Is this part of marital bliss? Does the old wives tale "fat and happy" really happen???
Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Married Life: Grand!

Well it's official - I've been married for over 2 months. Is there anything official about that? OK so 2 months isn't much of a mile marker - but it's been so great! And more than I ever could have hoped for!
So far the only hiccup is that my husband seems to have thought that I would be more available after we were married that I was before we got married. Wrong. I think he is realizing that I am still a small business owner and being gone for a month caused a pile-up of things I needed to do.
Then Iditarod came. We at Salmon Berry Tours decided to repeat last year's chili cookout at the starting line, but with a little more finesse. It was SO much better than last year! But the day before, just when I was starting to panic about being ready, my husband and Mandy's boyfriend volunteered to go to Willow at the crack of dawn and set up the tent!
YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!! Two strong men, one quite tall to reach the top of the tent, that we didn't have to pay. I was SO appreciative and reassured that my husband is still enthusiastic about my business and still cares about my stress level.
yay for boys!
